Halloween Costumes You Can Make from Things in Your Closet

Have you been too busy to get or make your Halloween costume this year? Or did someone invite you to a party at the last minute - and now you have to come up with a cool costume idea? Well don't worry; you can come up with plenty of costume ideas right from your own closet. This article will give you some costume ideas, and will probably jog your mind so you can come up with some others when you look at the other costume opportunities that lie in the depths of your closet.

Remember that this is supposed to be fun. Your Halloween costume should be comfortable, it may be something a little silly and maybe even a bit outrageous - but it should be something that you feel comfortable wearing. Some costume ideas will appeal to you more than others because of your personality and your preferences.

Tourist. This is a classic and very easy to do. You need a pair of walking shorts and to wear sandals with white long socks. Hang a camera around your neck. Wear a t-shirt from a destination you have been to. For fun you can bring map of a place and ask people for directions to a touristy spot.

Hippie. This costume is fun. You'll need a pair of extra comfortable jeans and jean jacket. A t-shirt advertising a rock concert. Draw peace signs on your face. If you can get some patchouli oil, this would be a great addition to your costume.

Door to Door Salesman. For this costume you need a suit and a small suitcase. You need to look kind of nerdy and very polished. Put extra gel in your hair and always be popping mints. Ask people if they want to see your extra special brush system on their carpet, a demonstration comes with a free sample.

Cosmetics Salesperson. This is great for a woman who loves makeup. Begin by putting on a full face of makeup, eye shadow, blush, lip liner and everything. Get a name tag and put your name on it. Get a bottle of perfume and ask people if they would like to sample the latest perfume from "name company....called...."

Shopaholic. This is a good costume for a female. Dress up and accessorize in a very trendy way. Buy a latte and carry your cell phone. Get some fancy shopping bags and carry them around with you.

Pregnant Woman. Now this one can be done either by a male or a female, I've seen some guys do a very funny pregnant woman costume! You will need a dress that is about two or three sizes larger than you usually wear. Tie a small pillow to your stomach (use old pantyhose). Dress in whatever style you would like to. You can also carry around a jar of pickles and talk about your cravings.
