Halloween Costumes for Dogs

Nicole Lang

Dogs are part of the family so why would you exclude them from dressing up on Halloween! There are dozens of adorable costumes out there for pets of all sizes and breeds. Let your dog let their personality shine in a costume that suits their personality. Here are a few great costumes that are sure to make your pet the start of Halloween.

Zelda Pink Bouffant Secretary Wig and Glasses Pet Costume

This costume is shown on a bulldog which makes it that much more adorable. The bouffant wig is fluorescent pink and the cat eyeglasses are diamond studded. This costume would be adorable on any pet but especially those with an especially wrinkled face like a bulldog! It is inexpensive at only $14.95.

Headless Horseman Costume

For larger dogs, this costume is perfect. The golden retriever pictured looks like a gladiator horse with a headless horseman holding a pumpkin on its back. It is only $12 but definitely a unique costume and very spirited for Halloween.

Zack & Zoey Royal Pup Halloween Costume

Does your dog think they are the king or queen of the house? Give your pet the royal treatment on Halloween by letting them dress up as one. This costume is very regal looking and for only $12.99-$16.99 (depending on the size), one does not have to spend like a royal.

Giraffe Dog Costume

This costume is a bit pricier than the rest at $35 but it is absolutely adorable. The costume will make your dog look like a mini giraffe no matter how large the dog. It is adorable and unique.

Side Car Costume

This $12 costume is one of the cutest out there. With its goggles for the top of your dogs head to the leather looking jacket and little sidecar with a stuffed dog inside this very cute and funny costume is definitely a conversation piece! You can almost hear the sound of the exhaust sputtering as Fido walks by.

With so many choices out there for pet costumes, you cannot go wrong. Be sure to do yourself a favor and know what your dog will and will not wear. Not all dogs will wear something on their head for example. Happy Halloween!
