This Halloween craft is simple and inexpensive to make. It is also a craft that you can make with your children.
Materials Needed for a Bottle of Boos
-Bottle. The bottle used for a bottle of boos should be clear. It should also be empty and clean. You will need a bottle with an opening big enough to get a Tootsie Pop through. Keep the bottle's lid for use, as well.
-Tootsie Pops
-Facial tissues. Use white facial tissues. You will need one facial tissue for each Tootsie Pop.
-White twist ties or thin, white, orange or black ribbon. You will need one tie for each Tootsie Pop used in your bottle of boos.
-Orange and/or black glitter and/or sequins
-Small name tag
-Black permanent marker
Instructions for Making a Bottle of Boos
Cover a Tootsie Roll Pop with a white facial tissue. Tie the facial tissue at the neck of the Tootsie Pop with either a white twist tie or a ribbon of white, orange or black. Draw 2 circles on the tissue covered Tootsie Pop for eyes. Repeat for as many ghosts as you will be able to fit into the bottle.
Sprinkle a small amount of black or orange glitter and sequins into the bottom of the bottle. Now place the Tootsie Pop ghosts in the bottle, upright. Gently shake the bottle in order to spread some of the Halloween glitter and sequins over the ghosts.
Place the lid back on the bottle and screw shut. Tie an orange or black ribbon around the neck of the bottle.
On the outside of the bottle, place a name tag on which you have written Bottle of Boos. Or, if you prefer, writer Bottle of Boos straight onto the bottle with a black permanent marker.
Uses for a Bottle of Boos
Use your bottle of boos for a Halloween decoration or give it to a friend. They will laugh and think of you when they pull it out of storage each October!
Children get a kick out of asking their friends if they want a bottle of boos! What fun to see the surprise on their faces when they they see a bottle full of ghosts!
