The only problem is that they can look so real that any guest that is deathly afraid of spiders will not want to eat one. So, these are good cupcakes to serve to someone who is on a diet. All you need to do is bake or buy dark chocolate cupcakes and frost them with chocolate frosting. Then add chocolate sprinkles on the frosting. Cut black shoestring licorice into pieces and stick them into the cupcake for the legs. Add two red candies for the eyes and you have scary spider cupcakes. Halloween Cupcake Design - Black Cat Cupcakes: To make a black cat cupcake, bake or buy dark chocolate cupcakes and frost them with chocolate frosting. Then add two blue candies for the eyes. Cut black shoestring licorice into pieces and stick them into the cupcake for the whiskers. Then cut a peppermint patty or a similar soft, round candy into quarters.
