Kids Party Ideas: Halloween Decorations for the Table
There is really nothing like Halloween to get the creative juices flowing. A fun and colorful Halloween decoration idea to make is a Halloween Ghoul Napkin Glove. This Halloween decoration idea is based on decorating a rubber house cleaning glove to hold a napkin. To make the Halloween decoration, buy rubber house cleaning gloves at a dollar-type store. Also pick up black puff paint, glue as well as plastic spiders and any other small Halloween decorations that can be glued onto the glove. Look around to find great bright neon colors for the rubber gloves.
When you get home, begin decorating the glove by gluing the decorations on the glove and using the black puff paint to make gross, yucky, disgusting moles on it. Stuff the inside of the glove, including the fingers, with newspaper or some other filler to make it look like a real ghoulish hand. Stick a paper napkin out of the top of the glove and put it next to a plate on the table. You can also put a fork or spoon between the thumb and forefinger for a neat Halloween decoration look. Boooo!
Kids Party Ideas: Halloween Decorations Outdoor Ghost Lights
Nothing says Halloween as much as spooky Halloween decoration lights lining the walk to the front porch. An easy Halloween decoration lighting project is to make ghosts out of milk jugs. To make this Halloween decoration, collect three to four gallon milk jugs and wash them out. Use a permanent black marker and draw spooky faces on the milk jugs. Use a sharp knife to cut a 3 to 4 inch circle out of the bottom of the jug. Using a string of holiday lights, push some lights into each milk jug and arrange them close to each other. Plug in the lights and watch how your Halloween decoration lights up the yard or table if used inside.
Kids Party Ideas: Halloween Decoration Centerpiece - Funky Pumpkin
A fun Halloween decoration centerpiece to make is a funky pumpkin. To make this Halloween decoration, you need a pumpkin, tootsie roll pops, pumpkin paints and an electric drill. Choose a pumpkin the size for the table you are going to decorate for Halloween. Buy enough tootsie roll pops to cover the area where you think hair would grow on a pumpkin. Draw a silly face on the pumpkin and paint with pumpkin paint. Use the drill to make holes all over the top of the pumpkin for hair and stick the tootsie roll pops in the holes. Be sure the size of the drill bit is just a wee bit larger than the stick on the tootsie pops. When you have stuck all of the tootsie pops in the holes, stand back and admire your funky pumpkin Halloween decoration.
