Being a compulsive planner when it comes toour Walt Disney World vacations, I was very troubled last year when I could find absolutely no information on the different events that happened at Downtown Disney or throughout the Walt Disney World Resorts. So hopefully this information will help another compulsive planner decide if heading to Downtown Disney for celebrating Halloween.
Dates for celebrating:
In 2009, Downtown Disney had Halloween activities throughout on both October 30 - 31st. I would expect that Downtown Disney will be doing activities on the same two days, but more than likely, you will have to wait until several days before until there is a guarantee of both days.
Times for Activities:
Halloween activities in Downtown Disney start at 5:00p.m. and go until 9:00p.m.
Halloween Activities and Entertainment:
Mystifying Magic at the Pumpkin Patch
- Storytelling
- Kid's DJ Dance Party (the DJ from last year was great!)
- Photo Opportunities (No PhotoPass, but many great Halloween Props for Pictures)
- Stilt Walkers
- Dixieland at the Riverboat Celebrate Tonight!
- Variety Acts
- Live Music
- Trick or Treating
Where can I find Trick or Treat locations at Downtown Disney?
Last year there was a Treat Trail of 22 different locations where you could line-up and receive treats. The lineups for the different locations did get incredibly long as the night progressed, but if you are there right at 5:00, you should be able to sail right through most of the locations.
- Cirque du Soleil Store
- Disney Quest Emporium
- Wolfgang Puck's
- Pop Gallery
- Hoypoloi
- Pin Cart West Side
- Wetzel's Pretzels
- Mickey's Groove
- Celebrate Tonight!
- Curl
- Portobello
- Fulton's Crab House
- T-Rex
- World of Disney
- Team Mickey
- Once Upon a Toy
- Disney's Pin Traders
- Mickey's Pantry
- Disney's Days of Christmas
