Halloween is synonymous with the dead to some of us, so why not have a graveyard? This drink contains one pint each of: 151 proof rum, vodka, gin, triple sec, tequila, scotch and bourbon. Mix these together and top off what room is left in the glass with equal parts of beer and stout. This drink could be made with one half pint of each ingredient as well. Rumor has it anyone who can't handle their liquor will be sending themselves to the graveyard with this drink, so the lightweights may want to stay away from this one.
A zombie is another great Halloween drink. This contains two ounces of light rum, a half ounce each of apricot brandy and 151 proof rum, and one ounce each of darm rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and lime juice. One teaspoon of sugar will also be needed. Combine everything but the 151 proof rum, with ice, in a blender. After pouring into a glass, float the 151 proof rum on top. A cherry, sprig of mint, and fruit slice serve as garnish.
A Salem witch is another good choice. It contains a half ounce each of raspberry schnapps, vodka and Midori melon liqueur. Lime juice, grenadine, sour mix and soda water will be needed as well. Pour the first three ingredients into a glass. Then add a splash of the lime juice, and fill the glass 2/3 full with the sour mix. Then top off with tonic water or soda water, stir gently, and add a splash of grenadine.
Halloween sometimes conjures nightmares, so you may as well drink a 'nightmare'. This drink has two ounces gin, one ounce Madeira, a half ounce cherry brandy, and one tablespoon of orange juice. Just combine everything in a shaker with ice, then strain into a glass.
A massacre may also be called for on Halloween. This drink has only three ingredients: two ounces of tequila, a half ounce of Campari, and four ounces of ginger ale. Simply combine all ingredients in a glass over ice, and stir well.
Shooters can also be fun for Halloween. Try a dead Nazi shooter: one ounce each of Jagermeister and peppermint schnapps are combined, stirred, and strained. A brain hemorrhage shooter is fun too. Combine ¾ ounce each of vodka and coffee liqueur in a shaker with ice (shake, of course), then strain into a glass. Swirl Irish cream liqueur and grenadine on top. A buzzard's breath shooter keeps the Halloween spirit too. Just combine a half ounce each of amaretto, coffee liqueur, and peppermint schnapps, then strain into a glass.
