Halloween Events for Kids in Southern California: From Mickey to LEGOLAND

Below, you will find information on the top 3 Halloween events for kids in southern California. Halloween is a fun time for kids, and these events provide a safe and fun outing for the entire family.

Mickey's Halloween Treat @ Disney's California Adventure

The 2007 event runs October 13, 20, 22, 27, and 29 from 7:30 pm - 11:30 pm and October 26, 30, and 31 from 6:30 pm - 10:30 pm.

For the second year, Disney's California Adventure in southern California is holding a special ticketed event for kids and families on selected nights in October. As this is a special ticketed event, general admission does not cover the cost of entry to the event. The event will include trick-or-treating stations, crafts and of course all the rides, shows and attractions that come with park admission. Everyone is encouraged to dress up, even the adults. However, there are strict costume guidelines and anyone wanting to dress up for the event should read the information carefully. Camp Spooky @ Knott's Berry Farm

The 2007 event runs weekends only, October 6-28 from 10 am - 5 pm.

This event located at Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California is essentially a treasure hunt for kids. Upon entering the park, children will be given a treasure map to find hidden treasures. There are 9 spots setup around Camp Spooky (Camp Snoopy). As they find each location they will be collecting items to create their own pirate costume. There is also a maze for the kids called, "Captain Jack's Haunted Hideaway Adventure Maze." Kids are allowed and encouraged to wear costumes to the event. Discount coupons can be obtained from participating Southern California Albertsons stores. This kid's event occurs during normal park hours and a special ticket is not needed. Brick-or-Treat @ LEGOLAND

The 2007 event runs October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27, and 28.

This event located at LEGOLAND in Southern California includes trick-or-treating, costume contests, Halloween entertainment, and all the regular attractions of the park. Trick-or-treating is for guests 12 and under. They can collect candy, commemorative LEGO pieces, and other surprises. The costume contest is divided into five categories including most LEGO themed, pirates, most imaginative, spookiest, and funniest. Each winner will receive 4 one day tickets to LEGOLAND. There will also be a Best of the Best chosen who will win four LEGOLAND Membership Plus passes. The park will stay open late on October 13, 20, and 27 for Brick-or-Treat After Dark, where kids can go on a Candy Corn Scavenger Hunt, build and brick pumpkin and participate in a nighttime costume contest.
