Halloween Festivities for Teens in San Diego, California

Let's face it, a good number of today's teens love anything when it comes to horror. The gorier, the better. Films in this genre have done so well that they have spawned sequels (in some cases more than sequels) such as Saw, Hostel and The Hill's Have Eyes. In my days, it was films such as Friday The 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween. All great classics. So this trick or treat season, your young adult will be jumping at the chance to see some good old fashion scare tactics at haunted houses. Let's take a look at some of them this Halloween!

The Haunted Hotel on Market Street

Here is a great event not to be missed in San Diego if you crave horror films. They are having their annual Haunted Hotel for Halloween with unique effects and nightmares are brought to real life! They gain their inspiration this year from films such as, "Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Hostel" and "Saw II". You know, the greats. Be prepared to be truly terrified. This is definitely not for the faint of heart.

Now this sounds interesting and I couldn't find that much information about it. I don't know who's responsible for this but it takes place in the University Heights area and apparently they alter 4 houses into some frightening sights this Halloween. They'll have a funeral parlor, a graveyard and a dragon. This is completely free so you can't go wrong here!

Mira Mesa Monster Manor Night Haunt

Location: 8235 Mira Mesa Boulevard, San Diego
Date: October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26-31
Time: Opens at 7:00 p.m. .
Price: $10.00

This Halloween, volunteers have gotten together to create a haunted event at the Monster Manor for teens to enjoy. There are two events but the one you are looking for is the Night Haunt. They say that nothing is held back here so be on guard. You'll never what who or what you will come across! Note that if you are 13 years or younger, an adult must be present with you.
