Kid Friendly Haunted Houses

M Pears
October is almost here and when you think of October you think of Halloween, treats, ghosts, pumpkins, and scary movies, being in darkness and let's not forget Halloween creepy crawlers as well as a variety of other things. For most kids this is the best time of the year next to Christmas cause you get to get all the candy that your little teeth can handle and they can be that favorite cartoon character or that super hero that they adore so much. This year if you have never had a true haunted house theme for the little kids, and there parents and friends then this is the year to start. There is nothing like finding out where the neighborhood haunted houses will be located truthfully their is never enough haunted houses around the neighborhood that would be kid friendly so let yours be the first.

Something simple that the kids will love should be your number one focus. You can start your to get list off with getting no other then the scary sounding music this will freak most people out all by itself you should never have a haunted house without the spooky sounds of ghosts, witches, and the eerie black cats meow. If you have your family and friends there with you helping you decorate your soon to be haunted house then let them be aware that everybody must be in costumes no plain clothes people in the haunted house for some reason it weaken the idea of being truly afraid. Next on your list should be a coffin with a corpse inside remember simple and kids friendly usually you can purchase a coffin from your local department store having a coffin is a must have so note that down.

You can't have a haunted house without witches, and bats that appear to look like they are flying in the dim light it really does look like that are really flying. You can find mostly all of these items in your local department stores if you have problems finding the items in your local department store be sure to check out thrift shops that's where most of my items came from and the prices are much cheaper so put that on the list.

You should give out your treat at the end of your haunted house and be sure that it's of a unusual color. I use green kool aid and baked muffins with green food coloring you can use any food coloring that you like but green seem more spooky. It looks so scary and once you give that to the kids that are so amazed that they are about to eat something that's not in it's right color each year it turns out to be a blast. You can use cookies, but muffins with the food coloring works better so be sure to think about the smaller kids this year and keep it simple and cheap, but sweet.
