Halloween Haunted Houses in Seattle, Washington

What www.history.com notes as a Celtic tradition long ago, has turned into an annual celebration enjoyed by people of all ages and all faiths worldwide. Now less of a practice of connecting the living with the dead, and more of an excuse to dress in fancy costume, a major facet of Halloween is going to haunted houses to have a little scare.

If you are looking for a haunted house rife with scary monsters, aliens, slime and goo in the Seattle area, then look no further - these three haunted houses have you covered!

Seattle House of Horrors

This haunted house is produced by Hollywood prop supplier Ghostride Productions and promises to be one of the better Halloween productions in the Seattle area. Including a combination of live actors and special effects, it is a walk-thru haunted house that will leave your heartbeat racing. Located on the east side of the metro, it is an easy jaunt from Seattle or Bellevue.

A large haunted house sponsored by local businesses big and small and benefiting Food Lifeline, the KUBE 93 FM haunted house will scare your socks off. Held at the Georgetown Morgue, the night comes alive with a variety of spooky ghosts and goblins amplified by the morgue's shady history and the eerie nighttime vibe of Seattle's industrial south side.

Dark Hollow Haunt
www.darkhollowhaunt.com
Located at 20821 Renton Maple Valley Hwy SE; Maple Valley, Wa 98038
Open Thursdays thru Saturdays October 15th thru 31st from 7pm to 10pm Thursdays and 7pm to 11pm Fridays & Saturdays.
Cost: $15 for ages 10 and up, or $14 with the donation of a non-perishable food item.

In addition to two haunted trails with different haunted themes, Dark Hollow Haunt also features a haunted Drive-In theater showing classic horror flicks in the spirit of Halloween. The outdoor setting that Dark Hallow Haunt resides adds a particularly Northwest flair to an already creepy event. Be sure to wear good walking shoes, as you will be strolling for 1 to 2 hours on trails at night. While Maple Valley is located on the east side of King County, it is well worth the drive if you are looking for a serious fright.

Regardless of which haunted house you visit, always be mindful of others. Give actors and volunteers their space so that they can put on a good show, and try to avoid running over other visitors as you flee in terror!
