It's a time for witches, demons, and ghostly spirits to walk the streets, and with all these ghouls around its no surprise, there are likely to be some nasty people around as well.
What can you do to protect your children this Halloween?
1.) Never let them eat open candy
2.) Inspect all candy before allowing your child to have it
3.) Keep your child or children in sight at all times
4.) You could go to designated safety zones, like the local malls, rather than around the neighborhood.
5.) Stay in and catch a movie, or throw a party!
6.) Visit the local attractions, rather than the local neighbors.
What about getting your scream on?
While keeping safe is a number one priority, there are also lots of fun things to do around this time of year. Especially if you're the type that enjoys a good scream. Be sure to check out some local attractions. Horror movies are great, but what better way to get a scream then the local haunted house?
What kind of attractions you may ask, well once per year in the Tacoma area the B&I held a haunted house event for the neighborhood. For a $10 admission, you could enter the dark and gloomy halls and be bombarded by the hands of the dead. (Not really, but to a young child, or the squeamish it was real enough.)
Though great local attractions are becoming far and between; if one looks hard enough they are sure to find some great ones that are still around. I hope you find something incredible to do this Halloween.
Some local haunted houses,
