Halloween Indian Costumes - Tribal Fun

Jeanette DiCamillo
Indian costumes bring back a lot of memories growing up. I'm sure we all remember running around the house, playing dress up as little kids. I remember watching my brother run around like a mad man with feathers on his head, dancing around the camp fire with two fingers held high above his head, chanting. His favorite costume that he loved to wear was an Indian costume. An Indian costume brought so much joy to him and they bring so much joy and excitement to all the other children across the world.

Imagination is a great thing we all posses and the older we get, it seems to get pushed to the back of our minds. Luckily we have children to bring out our inner child when we are too busy and unable to find time. Children grow up learning about Indians at an early age. The lifestyles of Indians are intriguing to us; the way that they dress, live and eat. The warrior makeup paint and the weapons they use always caught my eye and stood out the most. Indian costumes are every little child's best friend. The costumes are beautifully designed with the Indian culture in mind. With fringe hems and matching headbands, your little one will spend countless hours in costume. Bring excitement into your little ones day with an Indian costume.

Children aren't the only ones that get to dress up. Indian costumes are available for men and women, allowing you to have some fun of your own. I see a night of history lessons going on. Dress as a sexy Indian princess and pair up with a hunky warrior. These costumes make for the perfect couples duo. He'll be more than happy to assist you in all your chants! Have fun dabbling around in history with sexy, fun, and entertaining Indian costumes. You're bound to have a memorable night, a night full of reservations!

Travel back in time with an Indian costume. Make a day, night, and a party of Indians and Cowboys. You're child will be amused for many hours to come, giving you time to get things done or an opportunity to make believe with him.

Are you serious? Acting "wild" while wearing an Indian costume is not cute. And the adult costumes - why are non-Indians so "intrigued" - "The sexualized Indian male apparently appealed to both white men and women. ...there was a forbidden fantasy appeal for women...The going-native narrative plays on the fantasy identification of the white man with the...free reign in his "wild" sexuality" (quoted from "Savage Desires" by S. Elizabeth Bird in "Selling the Indian: Commercializing and Appropriating American Indian Culture"). It isn't cute: it is a psychological issue many non-Indians have, a thought process that objectifies Indian People that has been studied over and over again. Native Americans are people, not objects to be molded into sex toys. Just saying.
