Halloween and My Kids

Halloween Poem

Halloween and My Kids
I Adore Halloween and so do they
The Four of Us all dressed in costumes
Waiting for the sun to go down

The baby eyes wide open staring at us
She's confused as to where we went
Patiently we explain, we dressed for a night out

Halloween and my kids makes me smile
Even the oldest loving the tradition of candy
Wondering why once a year she gets to take it from strangers
Halloween and My kids are never the same twice

When they were tiny it was just as exciting as it is now
They gave me a new way to look at the world
It gives me pleasure to know I can dress up and act silly one day a year
Halloween and My Kids makes me glad to be "momma"
and gladder to be the one that gets to go with them

Knocking on doors, telling spooky stories and stuffing ourselves
This is what Halloween and My kids is all about.
