Halloween Parade NYC 2009: See a Halloween Parade in NYC This Year
The Halloween Parade NYC Theme This Year is "Terra Incognita"
The Halloween parade goes down 6th Avenue in New York City. All those in costume are invited to attend. According to the Halloween Parade NYC 2009 official Web site, you shouldn't take your cars to this Halloween event.
This year's theme is "Terra Incognita", which celebrates the Mariners who set their courses to darkness and the uncertainty. The Halloween Parade is surreal, and you can expect to see many very creative Halloween costumes. Dragons, Medieval costumes, and masqueraders will all be very common costumes seen at this year's event.
How should you travel to the Halloween parade? Note that you should only line up in the parade from the south and east, and streets west of 6th Avenue will be closed off by police.
The Halloween Parade NYC is unique because individuals are encouraged to participate in the parade. All you have to do is wear your most creative costume and join the parade on 6th Avenue. You will be joining 42 bands of all different types of music, Dancers, Artists, and many other interested individuals in creative costumes.
Those that live near NYC but cannot attend the parade can watch it from the comfort of their own home at NYI News from 8-9:30 p.m. Hopefully, those of us outside of NYC will be able to view clips of the parade on national news.
I would love it if they would stream the Halloween Parade NYC 2009 online. A Halloween Parade NYC 2009 live streaming would bring in a lot of viewers and possibly inspire many individuals to travel to New York to participate in the parade later on.
If you wish to buy a Halloween Parade NYC 2009 T-shirt you can do so online. For $30 you can get a t-shirt and a membership to the Village Halloween Parade group. The best part is, your $30 is tax-deductible as a charitable deduction.
Those interested in seeing what the Halloween Parade NYC 2009 is all about can head on over to the event's official Web site. There are photo galleries and much more interesting information on the parade.
Will you be joining in the parade this year? I know I would if I were in NYC.
