Halloween is only a couple of weeks away, so now is the time to start getting things ready for your party. One of the things you could have at your party are party favors. These are little treats the kids can carry home with them. One of the biggest hits I have found at our parties is the Orange Candy Holder. So, in this guide, I am going to show you how to make orange candy holders for Halloween Parties. Below you will find a list of things you will need and some things are optional. I will note the ones that are optional. Let me say that most things can be purchased from the dollar store and you won't have a lot of money tied up in it.
What You Will Need for the Halloween Party Favors
- Orange, Black, & Purple Tissue Paper (You can use all 3 colors or just one color)
- Empty Tissue Rolls (The number you will need will be the number of kids you have coming.)
- Ribbon (Any colors will do. You can use any type of ribbon or string.)
- Scotch Tape
- Candy (Optional)
- Pencils & Pens (Optional)
- Erasers, Stickers, Small Goodies (Optional)
So, now that you have the things you need, we can begin with the actual party favor. But first, let me explain why the candy, pencil, pens, erasers and stuff like that is optional. Inside the tissue roll, you will be putting prizes for the kids. So whatever you want to use as prizes is what you can buy. This can be candy or any kind of small things. Just make sure not to get something too big because it won't fit in the tissue holder. Ok, so let's get started with our Halloween party favor!
How to Make the Orange Candy Holders
To get started, you will need to get your tissue paper and cut sheets 8in by 8in. You will need to cut enough sheets for the number of tissue rolls you have. Next, you will need to wrap the rolls in the tissue paper and use a piece of scotch tape to hold it. Next, you will need to twist one end of the tissue paper and tie it with the ribbon you have. You can tie the ribbon in a knot or in a bow. After you have tied that end, turn the roll up so the end that isn't tied is facing you.
Now you are ready to stuff the candy, prizes or whatever you bought inside the tissue roll. Once you have stuffed the roll with your goodies, you can tie that end the same way you did the other end. Now you can draw on the tissue roll, use stickers on it or leave it the way it is. You can also write the names of the children that are coming to the party. Whatever you want to do is up to you. If you have kids, they may want to help you fix these Halloween favors. Now you can finish the rest of them. If you did multiple colors of tissue paper, you can arrange them in a basket and they make a really nice looking arrangement.
