Kids and teens enjoy party games. Make your party game twice the fun with tension building horror music and fun, ghoulish games. Add the following Halloween party games to your list of Halloween music, food, and fun for a Halloween Party that is sure to be a hit.

If you have the time and space to set up for a Halloween carnival, see the following article on how to build and set up carnival games.

Games for Halloween Party Fun: Pin the Ghoulish Head on the Monster
An easy Halloween game that can be both fun and funny is "Pin the Ghoulish Head on the Monster." Create the body of a monster. The great thing about it being Halloween is that a boxy, misshapen body works fine. You don't have to be an artist.

Create a large, awkward sized body along the size and shape of Frankenstein, or Herman Munster. Create a variety of head shapes, sizes, colors, and looks. These will be used to play "Pin the Ghoulish Head on the Monster."

Blindfold players and spin them gently two to three times before giving them a "head" and pointing them toward the Monster. There should be a small piece of double sided tape on the "head" so that it will stick on or near the Monster.

Kids love this game because it can create a silly, multi-headed Monster.

Adjust the game for adults by insisting in a fun game of "Pin the Head on the Monster." When the last adult takes their turn, instead of pointing them toward the monster point them toward a small canister of ketchup. Follow their finger if you have to and make sure it lands in the ketchup. It's a bloody good way to end the day.

Games for Halloween Party Fun: Nightmare Password
Use a timer and premade cards to play "Nightmare Password." Teams of two players face off and try to guess the Halloween word based on clues given by their partner. Neither the word nor any derivative of the word may be used in the description. Hands and motions may not be used. Depending on the ages playing the game you may use a one minute or three minutes and timer. Passing on a word is allowed. The team with the most correct guesses at the end of three rounds wins.

Write the following words on the back of jack 'o lanterns, ghost cut-outs, or other fun Halloween designs:

Halloween ; Psycho; Texas Chain Saw Massacre; Cauldron; Frankenstein; The Addams Family; Blood and Guts; Cawing Crow; Halloween Costume; When the clock Strikes 12 ; Masquerade; Witches and Warlocks; Trick or Treat; Ghosts; Mummy; Spider Web; Haunted House; Skeleton; Tombstone; Gargoyle; Gothic; Werewolf; Pumpkin; Witches Brew; Skull and Crossbones; Vampire; Bat; Spook; Cemetery; Fog; black cat; Zombie; Crypt; Trick or Treat

Games for Halloween Party Fun: Burning Pumpkin
Have group members sit in a circle to play "Burning Pumpkin." "Burning Pumpkin" is played just like the old game of "Hot Potato." As long as you have ghoulish music playing one medium sized pumpkin is passed from player to player around the circle. Once the music stops, the person holding the "Burning Pumpkin" is out.

Games for Halloween Party Fun: Jack 'O Lantern Hunt
Hide small plastic, cut out, or real jack 'o lanterns in the house or yard. Wait until after dark to have this Easter egg style hunt. Allow the kids to use flashlights to hunt for jack 'o lanterns hidden throughout the yard. Hide other objects like plastic rats, spiders, tissue paper ghosts, bats, and stuffed black cats throughout the yard to give the Happy Halloween searchers a scare.

Games for Halloween Party Fun: Emergency Operation
Emergency Operation does not use the board game Operation. To play "Emergency Operation" prepare a body ahead of time.

Use an inflated balloon for the head, long pretzel sticks to form bones, spaghetti for intestines, and a glob of congealed gelatin for the heart. Use grapes for eyes, nose, and mouth. Nuts make fine teeth and nails. Add additional ketchup, mustard, pudding and gelatin to make a squishy body.

Lay the concocted body full length on a table and wrap it in plastic wrap. You may wrap the plastic wrap all the way around the table. Cover the body with a sheet.
When it is time for "Emergency Operation" kids must operate in the dark, using only a "nurse" holding a flashlight. The goo should prove ghoulish. Play ambient, spooky music in the background to build drama as the kids begin to operate.

Prepare a deck of cards, on note cards, from which they will draw the assigned body part they are to extract.

Make sure the floor is covered, and allow each player to wear the "doctor's jacket," or converted old button up shirt, when it is their turn to dig in the gooey mess. Play this game near a sink with wipes, soap, and water.

These are some fun ideas. You could also consider a Halloween themed scavenger or treasure hunt. Check out http://www.mastersofthehunt.com/halloween-scavenger-hunt-activity.php. They have a couple different Halloween hunts including a Halloween Scavenger Hunt Activity. There are four sections - a creative activity, cleverly themed scavenger hunt items, Halloween-themed trivia and Halloween-themed puzzles. It is great for any Halloween Party and perfect for when you have a group with mixed ages. They also have one designed just for kids and a more sophisticated one for adults.
