Halloween Party Games and Activities

With Halloween right around the corner, you may be hosting parties for your kids and their friends. There are lots of fun games you can play that will keep the kids amused for hours. Here are some easy and inexpensive games that will keep everyone happy!

Pin the Wart on the Witch

Either buy or make a large drawing of a witch. Hang it on the wall with tape. Get some green play dough or putty and make a small lump out of it. Blindfold or have each child close their eyes
and walk toward the witch, trying to "pin" the "wart" onto the witch. Whoever gets closest to the witches nose is the winner.

Wrap the Mummy

You need a good supply of white toilet paper for this one, but its guaranteed to crack up all the kids! Divide everyone into teams and pick one person to be the "mummy". Have the other kids wrap him or her up in
toilet paper until they are covered. The first team to wrap up is the winner! Warning-you'll probably have to let each kid take a turn at being the Mummy!

Candy Toss

Get two or three inexpensive plastic pumpkins and set them about three feet around a circle of children. Divide the kids into teams and give each team a big handful of candy. Set a timer for a minute and let them all toss candy at their pumpkin. Whoever gets the most candy in after the timer goes off is the winner.

Monster Freeze

turn on monster Mash or some other fun and spooky Halloween music and have the kids dance around. When you stop the music, everyone has to freeze. Anyone still caught moving is out! Play until the last kid is dancing.

Pumpkin Toss

All you need are pumpkins, a hula hoop, paint and brushes. Paint points onto the pumpkins, and arrange them all in a line. Each child gets three chances to throw the hula hoop at them. Keep score, and the child with the highest points wins.

Pass the Pumpkin

The kids can sit in a circle and pass either small pumpkins or small gourds around while music plays. When the music stops, whoever is holding the item is out. continue on until only one winner is left.

Bone Hunt

Give each child a sack. Beforehand, hide small, plastic bones around the house or yard, and label them with numbers or letters to win a special prize for each. Have the kids hunt them like an easter egg hunt, and win whatever is on the bones they find.
