Ideas for Halloween Party Goody Bags

When planning out a Halloween party for the family or children, you may decide to hand out goody bags to the children. Goody bags can be fun to put together and the children will love taking their treats and prizes home with them!

If you are wondering what you can put inside of the goody bags, then here are some Halloween party goody bag ideas.

The Goody Bags.
There are a few ways to get the goody bags that you need to hold the candy and prizes.

The first way is to purchase them of course. You can find packs of Halloween goody bags in party stores, dollar stores, or stores such as Wal-Mart and Target. They usually come with a six or more in a pack at a reasonable price.

You can also make your own goody bags. You can get a pack or box of brown paper bags or Ziploc bags. Decorate the bags with Halloween stickers and even write the child's name or "Happy Halloween" on it.

If you want to spend a little more, you can also go to dollar stores and see if they have any Trick-or-Treating buckets, bags, or totes. The children will have a goody bag/bucket and a new Trick-or-Treating bag/bucket for Halloween!

Candy.
Of course you may want to put candy into your Halloween goody bags. If there are children of various ages at the party, then you should give them candy that is fit for all of them. This can include regular M&Ms or M&M Minis, chocolate (or regular) lollipops, candy corn, and Skittles. Avoid giving children candy they can choke on, such as jawbreakers, candy you suck on, and gum. If there is a child that cannot have candy at all, then simply give them extra toys and prizes instead of candy and ask the parents not to allow the children to eat their candy until they get home (or do not give out the goody bags until everyone is leaving). This can prevent the children from feeling bad about not being able to eat the candy.

Toys and Prizes.
You may want to include a few toys and prizes in the Halloween goody bags. Check out any stores that carry party supplies, as they may have Halloween party favors and prizes for children. You can also include Halloween related toys and prizes such as stickers, stick-on tattoos, jewelry, pencils, erasers, and more. If the child is too young for toys such as these, you can simply go to a dollar store and pick out a nice stuffed animal (Halloween related if you can find it, such as a black cat) and maybe some Halloween stickers.

Halloween party goody bag ideas can be a big help when planning out a Halloween party. It will be one more thing that is planned in advance. Planning and throwing the party will go by smoothly and the children will enjoy receiving their Halloween goody bags!
