Halloween Poem: Trick or Treat or Run?

LC
Tap, tap, tap, on his big massive door

I hope I don't fall through this rickety floor.

The door scratches open with a big gust of wind

Why did I have to come to this streets end?

I see his body turn towards me

But there's nothing there where his head should be.

Should I say trick or treat or should I just run?

I hate this dress, I should not have been a nun.

"Trick or treat," I slowly slur with big eyes

He hands me 3 bags of candy to my surprise.

He's not that mean, the man with no head

He's the best candy giver, with no friends, so sad.
