Art projects can be fun when you have little kids, or even as an inexpensive hobby for yourself! With Halloween fast approaching, here are some exciting decorations the whole family can enjoy making!

Haunted House Centerpiece

Materials:
Halloween woodsies, large craft sticks, glue gun or wood glue, black craft foam, scissors, paint-white, orange, and black, paintbrush, box, cardboard, craft knife.

Paint the woodsies and set aside to let dry. Cut the top two flaps off of the box so it becomes a peak for the roof, then cut a 12" by 9" piece of cardboard for the rest of the roof. Glue on the craft sticks, covering the house and the roof. Out of black craft foam, cut windows and doors, and then glue on. Glue on the woodsies. A nice Halloween centerpiece for any table!

Mummy Jars

Materials:
Jars, plastic wrap, plastic bowl of water, vinyl tape, wiggle eyes, glue gun and scissors.

First, use the glue gun to hot glue the eyes to the jar. Start cutting the plastic wrap into 1" by 4" strips. Use the water to dip strips in, and apply to jar, using your fingers to smooth them. Keep applying, leaving the eyes to peek out, until jar is covered. Then let dry. Use vinyl tape to apply strips to the top lid of the jar. Instant candle holder or treat jar!

Spooky Fence Decoration

Materials: Craft sticks, raffia, foam Halloween shapes, small black marker, glue, white paint and a paintbrush.

Paint the sticks white. Lay four of the painted sticks out vertically and then glue three sticks across them horizontally, lining the bottom stick up with the bottoms of the sticks that are vertical. Cutting a 5" piece of raffia, glue that to the back of the sticks in a loop if you want to hang this decoration. Cut up the rest of the raffia in irregular pieces for grass, and then glue to the horizontal stick. Glue a yellow moon right behind the sticks, and the Halloween shape foams to the front. You can then use the marker to add details. A fun art project the whole family can make together!

Halloween Frame

Materials:
One black and one green foam frame, Halloween foams, glue, wiggle eyes, cardboard, magnet or cardboard easel(4-1/2), scissors, tape, toothpick, and a photo to display!

Cut the green frame in half lengthwise and trim with an uneven cut. Glue it to the bottom of the black foam frame. Use the foamies to glue on a cute pattern. Add the wiggle eyes. Tape your picture to the back of the frame, and then glue the same sized piece of cardboard to the back of it. You can then glue on cardboard easel to stand the frame up, or a magnet to display on the fridge. Great for pics of your little ones in their costumes!
