Halloween Quotes, Sayings and Titles for Scrapbooks

Kel
Many of these sayings have been around and used by people for years, "authors" unknown. I'll acknowledge any where the author is known.

I have to start with a classic:

Trick or Treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat. unknown author

Trick or Treat, be real sweet, give us tasty treats to eat.

Spooktacular!

Bootiful (For a glamorous costume for adult or child, or for a funny take on the saying, use with the most unglamorous, ugly costume you have.)

A grandmother pretends she doesn't know who you are on Halloween. Erma Bombeck (Pictures of Halloween at Grandma's house or try to take a picture of the kids with grandma looking surprised)

Too Cute to Spook. (Pictures of baby or toddler in costume.)

Double double, toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble. William Shakespeare (Put a popped up cauldron on the page that the pictures can slip under. Add bubbles with clear embossing powder and have that spilling over the sides of the cauldron. This is great for pictures of a witch costume.)

Eat, drink, and be scary. (For photos of a party guests and food)

Once in a young lifetime one should have as much sweetness and one can possibly want and hold. Judith Olney (Photos of the kids surrounded by all the candy "loot".)

Bibbity, Bobbity, Boo. Fairy godmother in Cinderella...(for a Cinderella costume of course.)

I'd rather sit on a pumpkin and have it all to myself than be crowded on a velvet cushion. Henry David Thoreau (Great for visits to a pumpkin patch. Sit the baby or toddler on a pumpkin. If there is an oversized pumpkin around, this would work for older kids or adults posed as if they are royalty).

...ghoulies and ghosties and long leggity beasties, and things that go bump in the night.... part of a Scottish saying (Surround your scary costumed photo with cutouts or paper that has spiders, ghouls and ghosts, and simple pairs of sinister eyes on black background)

There are three things I have learned never to discuss with people; religion, politics and The Great Pumpkin. Linus Van Pelt in It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown (Use Charlie Brown comic characters on the page surrounding a Giant Pumpkin that opens to pictures of your Halloween. Great also for a pumpkin patch visit.)

Fraidy Cats Welcome. (Use with a cat costume or a cat border. )

If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who ya gonna call? Ghostbusters. from the Theme to Ghostbusters (Ghostbuster or ghost costume of course)

Ghosts Night Out.

I want my Mummy!

When witches go riding and black cats are seen, The moon laughs and whispers, Tis near Halloweeen. from a vintage postcard. (Position a large smiling moon on the page overlooking your pictures. Add a couple of black cat silhouettes over the edges of the pictures.)

Our Little Pumpkin. (Cute pics of the baby in costume or near the jackolantern)

Beary Scary. (Either put tear bears on the page in Halloween costumes or for a picture of a child in a bear costume, or combine the two)

Spooky Night.

Cutest Little Pumpkin in the Patch. (Also for an adorable picture of your little one at the pumpkin patch)
