To make festive popcorn balls, all you need is red and yellow food coloring, marshmallows, butter and cooked popcorn. In a large pot, melt a stick of butter. Once the butter is melted, pout a bag of mini marshmallow in and stir until the marshmallows are melted. Once melted, pour in red and yellow food coloring until you get a nice vibrant orange color. Stir well. Add the cooked popcorn to the marshmallow mixture and coat evenly. Mold the popcorn mix into balls and wrap in cellophane wrap. Tie the top of the wrap with green curling ribbon.
To make skeleton hands, you will need clear serving gloves, miniature marshmallows and spider rings. Fill the serving gloves with the miniature marshmallows so that it looks like bones. Tie the top of the glove off with a piece of orange and black curling ribbon and place a spider ring over one of the gloves fingers.
Make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and cut the bread with a pumpkin cookie cutter or other seasonal cookie cutter. You can also put a metal cookie cutter into a skillet and pour pancake batter into the inside of the cutter. Once the batter has a solid form, remove the cookie cutter so you can flip the pancake.
You and your children can make edible eyeballs! You will need 1/2 cup of soft butter, 1.5 cups of peanut butter, 1 pound of icing sugar, 1 tablespoon of vanilla and 12 oz of white chocolate. To begin, the butter and peanut butter has to be mixed together well. Once mixed, add the icing sugar and vanilla and mix well. Then, shape the mixture into small balls and refrigerate for 30 minutes. Over a double boiler, melt the white chocolate. Using a toothpick, dip the eyeballs into the chocolate but leave a small circle at the top. Cool on waxed paper and refrigerate if needed.
Make festive black and orange cookie sandwiches easily by making a batch of chocolate cookies. Cool the cookies and once cool, spread orange icing over one cookie. Press another cookie on top of the icing.
