Halloween Resources for Teachers and Home Schoolers

Children love Halloween! And the Internet offers a wealth of materials that teachers can use to add some fun to classroom learning and encourage children to want to participate in learning activities.

For instance,for children just learning to write, Alphabet Soup is a website that offers printable traceable letter pages for each letter of the alphabet and lined practice paper with Halloween themes. Primary Games is another site for printable writing paper for younger and older children with bright, bold themes.

Activity Village, an English website, has loads of Halloween stationary and other educational printables available to print for free.

Kiddyhouse also provides printable worksheets, most related to math for the earlier grades. Kidzone also has math work sheets with Halloween themes for grades 1-5.

Apples4theteacher has a great selection of printable Halloween short stories, and there are many other sources online of stories for kids to read, be read, or listen to.

A quick search on Google or any search engine will bring up many word searches, mazes, word scrambles, and other puzzles suitable for use in the classroom.

These are just samples to get you thinking and searching online for great ways to spice up your classroom or homeschooling this season!
