1. Use festive bags to deliver your books in. Go to the local dollar store and find goodie bags that are 20 for a dollar that have Halloween decorations printed on them. Toss in a brochure, a business card and maybe a few pieces of candy.
2. Use Halloween stickers to mark specials in the brochure. Find stickers that stand out so that they will grab the customers' attention. Not only will they notice the product but they will notice the sale, which will make them more likely to buy the product and earn you more money.
3. Send out Halloween greeting cards 1-2 campaigns before Halloween. Offer a special such as 10% off you next order or 15% off anything black or orange.
4. When delivering your merchandise, deliver them in cheap orange or black gift bags from the local dollar store. Do it the campaign before and the campaign of Halloween. This will get the festivity going which will in turn lead to more sales.
5. Tape small candies inside the brochure on pages that include new items, sale items, or any other item that may deserve special attention.
6. Tape small pieces of candy to samples and place them in your customers bag or give them out with brochures. This is a big hit for trying new products and gaining sales.
7. Make up several treat bags prior to Halloween night. Use any type of goodie bags and include a brochure, a few samples, a business card and a few pieces of candy. You may also want to add a small flyer to introduce yourself and restate your contact information. Give them out with to children as the come to the door. If you are going out trick-or-treating the take them along with you and give them to the adults at the houses you visit. They will love receiving a treat as well!
8. Set up a table next to your door or entrance where you will be giving out treats. Use the table to display brochures, business cards, samples and maybe a few of your best sellers. You may also want to use your goodie bags here to insure that everyone gets your business card and a brochure.
9. Have Halloween Phone-a-thon! You may want to do it the weekend before Halloween or the weekend after (when your new customers will have your brochures). You could also do it the day of Halloween but remember to do it in the early hours so that you are not cut short by families having to go out trick-or-treating!
Enjoy your new ideas and the success that will follow your Halloween sales.
