If you know how to crochet, you should try your hand at crocheting some cute (I mean spooky) little treats to hand out to the trick-or-treaters who visit you on Halloween night. Below you will find free patterns for a variety of crocheted treats, including Vampire Bats, Buttonhole Spiders, Candy Corn and more! Get your crochet hooks out and start crocheting for Halloween!

Crocheted Halloween Treat #1 - Vampire Bats: This is a neat pattern for black bats that any child would love to get in their trick-or-treat bag. This bat is easy to crochet and measures just over 4 inches long. If you want, you could hot glue a magnet to the back of the bat to make a refrigerator magnet. Crocheted Halloween Treat #2 - Boo Bookmark: This is a cute little bookmark with the word BOO worked in by skipping stitches. This is a great treat to hand out to little ghouls and goblins to encourage reading! To see a photo of this crocheted bookmark and to print out the free pattern instructions click here.

Crocheted Halloween Treat #3 - Buttonhole Spider: This is a creepy little spider that has a buttonhole in it so a child can button it to their shirt or jacket. It's a great idea, but only if you are not afraid of spiders! If you make these to give out to trick-or-treaters, it would be nice to attach a little note explaining that the spider is to be worn on a button. Crocheted Halloween Treat #4 - Candy Corn: This is one piece of candy corn that won't cause cavities! This crocheted treat is very quick and easy to make. You can make dozens in one evening. This candy corn is worked in three rows and is a great way to use up scraps of yarn. You can also hot glue a tiny magnet to the back to turn it into a refrigerator magnet. Crocheted Halloween Treat #5 - Jack-O-Lantern : This is another quick and easy treat to crochet. You can make a bunch of these little Jack-O-Lantern treats in no time at all. If you want the project to go even quicker, you can skip the face and just make pumpkins! To see a photo of this crocheted Jack-O-Lantern and to print out the free pattern instructions click here.

My crochet skills are very limited, but these are too cute not to try! Perhaps I will try to find a knitted version. Thank you!
