Several Contributors have asked me how often I expect to publish race updates. The simple answer is I will update them as often as possible. It can be a time consuming process to gather all of the page views, a process that I have termed page view harvesting. Even I miss just few Contributor page views on a given day; an accurate update cannot be done.
Page View Communication
Though it is not a requirement to participate in the page view races, I do appreciate those Contributors that communicate their total page views on a regular basis. If it is at all possible, please email your page view numbers to hanvanmeegerin@yahoo.com. This allows me greater flexibility in managing the races at those times when I am not connected to Associated Content. If this is not possible, send me a message with your total page view information through Associated Content.
Volunteers
I am still accepting applications to assist me with the harvesting of page views. The application process is simple. Just send me an email or a message and indicate that you are interested in assisting in helping me harvest the page views.
First Update for Individual and Team the "Rush to April 2010" racing series
These updates will go out today. These updates will show page view totals through January 3, 2010. I hope to provide another update soon. This subsequent update will show hopefully show page view totals through January 5, 2009.
I apologize for this delay, but I noticed that though I placed Kofi Bofah in an individual race, I omitted him from the team races. With Kofi included the number of Contributors in that racing category increases from sixteen to seventeen. Obviously, the number seventeen is not useful for our purposes. Therefore, I needed to find one more Contributor. I succeeded in my mission and I am pleased to announce that Jan Peterson has joined our races. I expect her to be a page view magnet. When you see the update, you will notice that I realigned the league. I needed to change it from a league of four teams with four Contributors per team to a league of three teams with six Contributors per team.
"Sprint to 2010" MVP Awards
I have not received any ballots for the "Sprint to 2010" MVP Awards. Please either send me a ballot or send me a message/leave me a comment that this was not a good idea. Please see: Han Van Meegerin's Newsletter January.
for details.
Team Names and League Names
I have not yet received any League Name suggestions. Please send me any ideas that you have for consideration.
I am pleased that in League 3, Expansion Team 3 renamed their team to "Mind Waves." I hope that the other teams with generic names can come together and give themselves an identity.

I'm so bad about checking my page views. See, I told you I'd be more trouble that I was worth. I've got too many irons in the fire, as always. . .
Hanny dear, thanks for all your great work. I've improved in one area, sending you daily pv's. I really had not absorbed the need to do the MPV thing (surprise surprise) but I'll think on it. It will be a great award for somebody. Now are we supposed to be renaming a team? Duh?
Nice work Han...sorry I've been here and there, lately.....time of year and I'm still having pc problems....
Excellent concise report, Han!
Thanks for keeping us updated!
Han, your "page view harvesting" is most appreciated by the racers and those who are viewing the race. I don't think people realize how much work you put into this effort and I for one appreciate and thank you. This is quite a unique thing, nothing like any other wedsite has. I think it builds friendships and team-spirit and cooperation between the AC community of writers and readers. There's just something special about you Han. You have a great gift & you're using it to help others. I thank you. You're more than "useful", you are beneficial and encouraging to us all. Thank you. : - )
I liked the ballet idea but top five was too many for me. I could give you a top three. I think if you asked everyone just to nominate the MVP without all of the runners up, it would be easier for them to do quickly. Thanks for the update.
Thanks for all your hard work on this
thanks for the updates as well
