I got to thinking, what a wonderful gift that anybody could make for a special friend of family member. And it doesn't cost very much at all. Let me walk you through a few steps and get you started.
~Here is what you will need~
1.Fabric (something that has a meaning to this individual)
Please make sure they are not going to be mad that you have changed it from its original formation.
2.Flat surface(Large table)
3.Ruler,pencil,thread,needle,Scissors(Sharp),thimble
4.An idea(diagram)
Let me describe the pillow I made.
She has both a boy and a girl, I had her husband steal a pair of pajamas that each had worn that she would recognize right off. The boys was blue and white and the girls was pink and white, each one had a cute little picture on it and so I cut them out and after cutting the material to the size and shape I needed, I then placed the cute little picture on the opposite pair of pajama material. I also cut out squares and hearts and placed them the same way but as pockets. The pockets I made had buttons so that as her children grew, she could place the little teeth that they will leave for the Tooth Fairy, or even a lock of their hair.
This is a gift that will make everybody happy, and knowing that you took the time to sew this by hand will make a special somebody feel loved and important.
So you are ready to make your Memories Pillow, take your time, have fun.
