Handbook of Healing by Charles and Frances Hunter

Whosoever Will, Let Him Come.

Karen Francis
In Mark 16:18, the bible says that, "they will lay hands on the sick , and they will recover". There are many Christians today that have read that scripture but don't' really believe that they will be able to do what it says. There are people that do believe this scripture, but aren't happy with how God healed someone or themselves, because it didn't come the way they wanted it to come. Then, there are seasoned believers like Charles and Frances Hunter who not only believe what the scripture says, but have put their belief into practice and written a book dedicated to healing called Handbook of Healing.

I purchased this book some time ago and recently had an opportunity to read it and I must say it is very clear and to the point. As my Pastor recently preached about, Simplicity is so underrated. Our world is so use to complex lives that we forget that there is better way. I have read a lot of books on healing that go deep into the root of some diseases, but don't necessarily tell you how to receive your healing in that particular area. Charles and Frances Hunter have done a good job in identifying the issue with the help of countless physicians and they give you a clear, simple way to pray healing for particular maladies.

In this Handbook for Healing the Authors start with establishing the Sovereignty of God. This is the most important thing because the bible tells us that in order to receive anything from God, we first must believe that He exist and that He is who is says He is. The Hunters go into foundational scriptures that not only talk about the Authority of Jesus Christ, but our Authority as believers and how we have access to the same power that Jesus Christ has. The book further goes into areas about Gifts of the Spirit, specific conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Eye disorders and Migraine headaches.

One of my favorite chapters would have to be the one titled The Difference between a Miracle and a Healing. I don't want to ruin it for you, so all I'll say is sometimes God can do a thing Suddenly and other times there is somewhat of a journey involved. There are so many Christians that don't understand a healing can be done through the gifted and anointed hands of a physician or through the submitted hands of a believer.

The Handbook for Healing can be found on http://www.cfhunter.org/. Their website is complete with information about Charles and Frances Hunter, their background and the seminars that their ministry has available. You can purchase the Handbook for Healing for less than $20.00 on-line. The Handbook for Healing is a great tool for everyone. Just as the bible said..."whosoever will...let them COME".
