Handicapped Accessible Attractions in Queens New York

Regina Sass
All of the New York City Attractions are not in Manhattan, the outer boroughs have great things going on too and a great many of them are handicapped accessible. If there is some attraction you want to see, and you are not sure if the attractions are handicapped accessible or not, just give them a call. In many cases, they will make special arrangements for you such as allowing you to use an elevator that is not normally open to the public. The Queens New York attractions listed here are handicapped accessible and are great places to visit. Be sure to give the attractions a call in advance of your visit and have them explain to you exactly how they are handicapped accessible.

The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria Queens is fully accessible by wheelchair. The museum has Tuesdays through Fridays: 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and of course plenty of screenings and is one of the cities most popular attractions. Right now they are featuring On the Waterfront and Flash Gordon on Mars. They also have permanent and rotating displays, like the one they have now on William S. Hart. For more information on handicapped accessible issues, call (718) 784-4520. They will be glad to give you information on what will be going on when you plan to visit.
