Handwriting Analysis: Parlor Trick, or Truth

I have an interest in handwriting analysis. I learned about it in high school and have several books on it. It is interesting to me because I like learning about people. It can tell me whether someone is greedy, lazy, imaginative or idealistic. But I often wonder if it really works. Can you really tell what a person is like by their handwriting?

I decided to test some of this out on close friends and family. My one friend had atrocious handwriting leading me to conclude he was unstable. He admitted he had anxiety. Some men have handwriting that indicates that they are loving and sexual. Surprise surprise. My girlfriend also believed in handwriting analysis and said I had very intelligent script. And I am a genius. So I guess it is reliable to an extent. My house mate has very legible clear writing and she used to be an engineer, it also means she's a considerate lover.

I guess you can also tell a lot about a person by how they act. Even though most people put on academy award performances and then turn on you when your down. I try to be honest and tell the truth. But sometimes its none of their business.

Even when someone wants to be a good person, laziness or greed can rear it's ugly head. And sometimes handwriting analysis can warn you of this possibility. So take it with a grain of salt. But if in doubt as to your future spouse and he/she has erratic handwriting, maybe it would be better not to say I do.

Some say the overall shapes you prefer can tell you what your personality is like. If you like the triangle, you are a sexual and aggressive person, versus someone who likes the circle. They are loving and kind. If you prefer the scribble, you are artistic. If you are drawn to the square you value stability. I hope these little tips give you some guidance if you are interested in this field of study. I like to learn all I can about people. It might be a fun little parlor trick, or it just might help you understand your significant other. But either way, it is growing in acceptance to the point that sometimes businesses use it when interviewing possible executives and the courts use it for forgery cases.
