Handwriting Analysis Reveals Troubled Baby Gabriel Mom, Elizabeth Johnson
What Handwriting Analysis by an Expert Graphologist Shows
Linda I. Larson's spontaneous analysis of Elizabeth's handwriting in the infamous Craig Cherry document.
Elizabeth is a loner. Her handwriting suggests she is emotionally fragile. She does not fight- she would rather just leave. She weighs pros and cons clearly but may vacillate between them, fearing consequences from making a 'wrong' decision. She is rarely forthcoming about what is going on inside her, which can be anger and frustration- leading her to impulsive behavior. She can be underhanded. But the real issue is the second-guessing that she continually seems to do. The second-guessing eats away at her minimal self-esteem. Her handwriting suggests a disturbed troubled person. Elizabeth may be a strong candidate for a bi-polar diagnosis, by a qualified professional.
RM's examples of Elizabeth's behavior that support the handwriting analysis.
Emotionally fragile- Elizabeth was raised in five foster homes as a child. She was and is prone to rages. She blames others for her problems. Loner- her grandfather Bob Johnson has said Elizabeth was always secretive. Vacillation between pros and cons- Elizabeth had talked about having an abortion while pregnant with Baby Gabriel or putting him up for adoption. Nearly seven months passed after meeting Tammi before Elizabeth decided to try to adopt out Baby Gabriel to Tammi and Tammi's husband, Jack Smith.
Underhanded- when Gabriel's father, Logan McQueary, refused to let Gabriel be adopted, Elizabeth kidnapped their baby, from Arizona, and took him to Texas. Even her grandfather thought she was borrowing his car just for a job interview. Not a fighter- when Elizabeth yelled at Tammi on the phone saying 'you're the one who set this up' and Tammi, rather than back down, responded, Elizabeth hung up. Possibly bi-polar- Elizabeth suffered severe post-partum depression and took medication. She was joyful and 'feeling adventurous' after giving away Gabriel in San Antonio.
Linda I. Larson's specifics on Elizabeth's handwriting samples.
LL: I saw disjointed writing, which indicates a high level of stress and resistance. At the time of her writing, Elizabeth's thought processes seemed to be breaking down. She needed- actually would have demanded- time alone, hoping to organize her very disorganized approach to life. In any stressful situation, Elizabeth is most likely to cut and run. Her writing suggests that if she is unable to immediately physically leave, she will act out inappropriately. When she rages, it comes from a very deep pain that likely stems from incidents during certain ages of her childhood such as a loss or a shocking situation, possibly an accident or a molestation.
RM: For just one example, Elizabeth's mother was drowned.
LL: Elizabeth's writing indicates she is bouncing between 'feeling isolated and seeing the world in separate pieces' and 'being completely out of touch with reality'. Elizabeth has a difficult time integrating the various parts of her life, and cannot see how one part relates to another. She does not have 'relationships', she has 'situations'. She does not question her thoughts or her feelings. (McQ: But as said before, she does weigh pros and cons.) She acts on whichever erupts first, whether or not it is to her detriment. She either has no filters on what she says or else she refuses to speak.
RM: The examples given earlier support what was just said. In addition, Elizabeth's rages (no filters to what she says and does) have shown up in her domestic violence as an adult; her refusal to speak is inherent in her refusal to cooperate with Law Enforcement.
LL: Elizabeth's writing shows an odd lack of conscience. Elizabeth will listen, even agree to whatever demands are being made on her... and then, once out of sight, will do exactly what she pleases. (RM: She even ran out on the Smiths.) Be assured, at this point in time, she will do the least amount of what needs doing to get by. My opinion is that Elizabeth should be psychologically evaluated as soon as possible.
Elizabeth's handwriting traits: a summary.
LL: The dominant aspects of Elizabeth's writing are as follows: the bizarrely-wide spacing of the words; the erratic spacing of the letters; the tendency towards the writing break down. These aspects show that her thought processes are unstructured, indicating uncertainty, indecisiveness, and deficiency in commitment. Elizabeth has poor reasoning and she may lack insight. She is prone to impulsive behavior; she avoids crucial issues. Some of her words are extremely disintegrated. This disintegration suggests a psychosis.
RM: The analysis made by Ms. Larson of the handwriting of Elizabeth Johnson is bottom-line. In other words, it is hardcore black and-white. A dissertation would be necessary to explain all the nuances- the shades of gray- to the distinct personality of Elizabeth.
Summation Anyone who has followed missing Baby Gabriel's story and observed his mother's behavior might agree with Ms. Larson's spontaneous evaluation of Elizabeth. Keep in mind that her evaluation came purely from Elizabeth's handwriting. The fact that handwriting can reveal personality traits and disorders to this extent is remarkable.
Based on Elizabeth Johnson and the subjects of adoptions and foster homes, Ms. Larson considers that handwriting analysis- by a qualified certified graphologist- may be a valuable tool for adoption and foster agencies to use when evaluating potential adoptive parents or foster parents.
