Ranee Wright
Don't wait to buy your upside down hanging Christmas tree, they sell out quickly! I found them online in crystal white or silver. These Christmas trees are not cheap but you will save money in the long run since you can re-use your upside down hanging Christmas tree every year. Alternatively, buy an artificial tree of any color that tickles your fancy. Below, you will find links to my favorite upside down hanging Christmas trees, with instructions on how to hang upside down Christmas tree along with what you need to hang Christmas tree upside down.

Reasons to Hang Christmas Tree Upside Down
Hang upside down Christmas tree from your ceiling if you would who like to mix things up or start a new tradition. The upside down Christmas tree is very trendy and can be purchased from many online retailers. This is a great alternative to a standing Christmas tree if you have kittens, puppies or toddlers that tend to climb on your Christmas tree and play with the decorations. Another positive to hanging upside down Christmas tree: more space for presents from Santa! Finally, artificial trees are safer - you will decrease your risk of a Christmas tree fire!

History:
Upside down hanging Christmas trees were common in 12th century Europe. Symbolic of the Paradise Tree in the Garden of Eden; food and flowers were used to decorate the tree. Not only did the upside down Christmas tree offer protection from evil spirits, but it also acknowledged the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Upside down Christmas Chandelier Tree
From the Crystal White Chandelier Series , the Pre-Lit Crystal White Norway Pine Hanging Upside Down Christmas Chandelier Tree sells new for $125 on Amazon.com ($7 s/h) and Christmascentral.com (free s/h). It is 48" or 4' at its fullest part and approximately 31" long (not including hooks). No assembly is required! It also comes with an 8' white lead cord that has an on/off switch. There are hooks at the top of the Christmas tree - used to hang from light fixture. I think I would put a tree in another room and keep the kids and pets away! The hanging upside down tomato planters were a bust, wouldn't do a Christmas tree!
