Hannah Montana Goodbye DVD to Be Released as Final Season Airs

The upcoming March 9 release of the DVD, Hannah Montana: Miley Says Goodbye - along with the debut of what seems to be the final season of Hannah Montana - may be the reason that fans have been sending out scores of tweets lately about their favorite moments from the show. Perhaps they'd seen some of her racy photo shoots for Vanity Fair and realized that she had already made attempts to move on. Those who are tweeting about their favorite shows from past seasons are doing so as the new season is set to air. But...

What Comes Next for Miley Cyrus as Hannah Montana Ends?

The show has had an incredibly long run, starting in 2006, so it might be risky to try and keep Miley Cyrus playing the Hannah Montana role any longer, unless it is a version where she grows up, gets married, etc. As noted above, Selena Gomez has added her take, indicating that Cyrus is ready to move on to other opportunities. With Cyrus' fan base, she might be one of the rare teen idols who actually is able to keep her audience as she grows up. She has already faced - and survived - controversy about being an inappropriate role model based on photos taken and featured in magazines.

So what could be in Miley Cyrus' future? Big screen movie debuts, more live performances and perhaps another television show, this time with a decidedly more grown-up angle? All are options. After four years of a very busy schedule, perhaps she'll even decide to take some time out to relax and figure out what she wants out of life.
