Hannah Montana's "Best of Both Worlds"

The girls were pouring in with their hair and outfits to the 9's. Some looked like Hannah, some, Miley. They ranged in age from 3-13 and all were anxious to see Hannah Montana's "Best of Both World's Concert" movie in 3D. My daughter even brushed out her wig for this momentous occasion. We arrived 45 minutes early to make sure we could get good seats for our pre-paid excursion. The line moved rather quickly into the theater and we headed for some good seats.

"Are you ready for Hannah Montana?!" said one of the ushers that was preparing the crowd for an exciting two hours of songs by their favorite singer. "I can't hear you! Put your hands together for Hannah Montana and let the projectionist know you want to start the movie."

The excitement didn't stop there. Before the start of the movie, we were told to put on our 3D glasses for a couple of movie previews. This got the crowd more eager for what was to come since things were already popping from the screen.

The show started with one of Hannah's familiar songs, "I Might Be A Rock Star", made popular by her Disney show, entitled "Hannah Montana". After the first song, you are taken to a flashback where you see four weeks prior to the concert. You get to see the making of the tour, the rehearsals, and how the dancers, band, back-up vocals, and guests like Billy Ray, Hannah's (Miley) father, have to practice before the concert ever starts. The hardest part for Hannah was probably the wardrobe change that must be finished in 30 seconds. Her mother was called in for this special change to make it run as smoothly as possible.

The Jonas Brothers were featured in the movie, as well. They sang their three popular songs on Disney, "When You Look Me In the Eyes", "S.O.S.", and "The Year 3000". But, if you were expecting more from the Jonas Brothers, I'm afraid you will be disappointed because this is definitely a Hannah Montana movie.

The "Best of Both World's Concert" will only be in select theaters for the week and if you haven't purchased a ticket in advance, you may have a bit of trouble getting one. The live concert was almost near impossible to score tickets for and this movie is a close second for difficulty if you try and show up at the last minute. The tickets for this weekend were sold out at our local theater in Plainville, CT. But if you miss out on this one, I'm sure there will be a DVD to follow.

The 3D glasses were a great touch for this movie. It added an extra pop and made you feel like you were really at the concert live. The little ones in the theater tried to grab for the guitar pick that seemed to jump right through the audience. And they loved to see the drumsticks fly through the air, as well.

All and all, my daughter and I enjoyed ourselves. We could not be at the live show ourselves, but being able to see the movie in 3D made it seem like "The Best Of Both Worlds".

Hannah/Miley are/is such a great role model for young girls. Other than the 'tomboy' image she puts across (because my niece dropped ballet to be a tomboy), I love her messages. Let's hope she continues to give off those positive vibes. Nice article.
