He was very famous for his pottage
He had two children Hansel and Gretel
They were very poor they lived on nothing but Nettle
His wife was as mean as a witch
There is no food in the house, we are not rich
Said she over and over again
Hansel was 8 and Gretel was 10
Lets kick them out of the house those 2 brats
Said the woman I'd rather live with rats
Hansel heard this one night
And comforted Gretel in her fright
The next day when the dawn did rise
The man took the children who were his only prize
Deep into the forest where they both would die
Off he ran and Gretel started to cry
Night came and he did not come back
Ill take you home said Hansel, I know the way back
Give me your hand Ill take you home
He followed the pebbles and that's the end of this poem....NOT
The next night the woodcutter took them out again deeper in
Dont come back yelled the lady who was drunk on Gin
Hansel tried to follow the crumbs but the birds had eaten
Oh not were lost we're finally beaten
They started to wonder seeking a path back
But all hope faded when they only saw black
Finally they came to a cottage in the middle of a Glade
Hansel yelled the walls are of chocolate made
And icing too screamed Gretel
This is so much tastier than nettle
They started to eat and gobble the walls
All this was a welcome sight for their eyeballs
All of a sudden the door opened and an old women stared at the youth
Well, well, haven't you children a sweet tooth?
Come in, come in you've nothing to fear
Said the old women who was really quite queer
As soon as they entered she locked them in a cage
You see she was a witch of a rather old age
Who trapped unwary victims and ate them for dinner
But these two were different they were very much thinner
Ill fatten you up first and then eat you she yelled
Her breath was so bad of humans it smelled
She made Gretel work for her while Hansel was bind
But she had bad eyesight and was becoming blind
Gretel smeared butter on her glasses so she would see less
And then she made the whole house into a mess
Let me see your finger the witch asked to see if its grown
But Hansel used a chicken bone instead of his own
The witch got fed up and finally yelled she didn't care
Cook him anyways and ill have him medium-rare
Light the oven she told Gretel fill it with hay
We're going to eat a tasty roasted boy today
Later on, she told Gretel to check on the fire
Gretel came back saying she could not, but she was a liar
Useless child I'll go myself and on the fire check
But when she opened up the oven and lowered her neck
Gretel gave her a push inside and slammed the door hard
The witch burned and burned her insides turned to lard
Gretel ran and freed her brother
Now let's go kill our step mother
They stayed for a few days in the house to eat
They found a chocolate egg with Gold coins shaped like feet
They left with the treasure and went in search of home
Luck was with them and they didn't have to roam
They found their father he was crying with joy
I killed your step mom she slept with the bellboy
Look father we brought riches untold
And so this is the end of the story Retold
