Hanukkah Festivals and Events in Atlanta

There are plenty of holiday events and activities in Atlanta for Jewish people. Hanukkah is December 21 to 29 this year, but the holiday celebration will last all month. The Atlanta Jewish community has activities that are fun for the entire family and very special events for Atlanta's Jewish singles and kids.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: Dreidels & Donuts

Celebrate the Festival of Lights with your friends and family at Dreidels & Donuts. This December 7, Hanukkah event is packed with fun for everyone. Join a dreidel contest. Create a menorah, or play bingo for prizes. Enjoy professional story tellers, and don't forget there will be donuts. Join the fun.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: Hanukkah for Little Hands

Hanukkah for Little Hands is a very special event for families with children 18 months and younger. The event offers a chance for parents to work with their child to paint their own pottery and capture their child's handprints in a menorah as a lasting keepsake or gift.

You will also have the opportunity to read in the PJ Library and preview the MJCCA pre-dance and crawlers/walkers gymnastic classes.

Date and Location: Dec 7, 10am-12pm

Cost: First piece of pottery is free. Additional pottery at a nominal price.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: Amy's Holiday Party

Amy's Holiday Party is a free event for young men and women, grades 7-12. This party began in 1995 when Amy Sacks Zeide used her Bat Mitzvah money to throw a party for 25 children in need. Amy's Holiday Party has become a holiday tradition in Atlanta. 300+ teen volunteers will host a holiday party for 500 homeless and foster care children.

Help with crafts, a carnival, enjoy the DJ, or help out at the "toy store." Share food, drinks, and cookies.

Teen volunteers may receive community service credit for participating.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: Hanukkah Bazaar

Sunday, December 14, from 11am to 7pm Congregation Or VeShalom will host a Hanukkah Bazaar. Enjoy the spirit of the holidays and find handcrafted art, pottery, jewelry, gifts, and Judaica. Enjoy Mediterranean cuisine. Join in a silent auction. There are even video games for the kids to enjoy.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: Teen Community-Wide Hanukkah Parade

It's a genuine Israeli-style Hanukkah "Torches" Parade and post parade party. Gather with other teens from the Jewish community youth groups and day schools for a day of holiday fun. The event will be held December 20, 6:30-8:30pm.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: Bagel Bash

Wednesday, December 24 join in the fun at Bagel Bash, at one of Atlanta's premier nightspots, Opera. The Bagel Bash is Atlanta's own young-adult Jewish event, and you don't want to miss it. Enjoy music, dance, food and fun with your friends.

Hanukkah in Atlanta: The Matzo Ball

The premier Jewish singles party of the year will be in Atlanta for the first time, in Atlanta December 24-25. A project of the Society of Young Jewish Professionals the Matzo Ball is in its 22nd year. Don't miss the number one party of the year at Atlanta's hotspot, Tongue and Groove. Have fun, make friends, and take a chance at finding someone special.
