Hapisgah steak house is located at 147-25 on Union Turnpike in Flushing, NY. Flushing is located in the borough of Queens which makes up New York City. Hapisgah is a great place for anyone of Middle Eastern decent and people who love Arabic or Israeli food will love Hapisgah. Once you step into Hapisgah, the first thing you will hear is the Israeli music played in the background and the elegance of the room, decorated with Middle Eastern paintings on the wall.
For appetizers, Hapisgah starts you off with a complimentary Israeli salad that is very spicy. Spicy pickles, beets, and hot peppers are served on a platter as you wait for your waitress and main course to come.
The waiting time for Hapisgah is always long because everyone knows how good the food is. Waiting time will usually be about half an hour to an hour, depending on what time you get there and the night of the week. Since Hapisgah is a Glatt Kosher restaurant, it is not open on Friday and it isn't open until late Saturday night until the sun sets.
Hapisgah is a steak house so naturally they are famous for their steaks. The price of the steaks are usually about $20 to $25, depending on what type of steak and what cut of steak you order. The steak entrees are brought out onto your table in a sizzling black pan which allows customers to soak about all the tender juices and flavor of the steak. Most steaks usually come with fried mushrooms and rice. The best steaks to order at Hapisgah include their Porterhouse steak and Sirloin steak.
Although you have the option of ordering appetizers, I wouldn't really recommend it because the size of the steaks is simply tremendously. You definitely get your money's worth for the enormous size of the food you will get. Many customers have to wrap up their leftover steak and bring it home because it is so much to eat.
The service is also very good as the waiters and waitresses let you take your time to order. The food is brought out a little slower than normal, but that's also because it is a steakhouse and steak takes longer to cook.
If you don't like steak, you can also order a chicken, beef or lamb kabob or any of their various other types of chicken, beef or lamb dishes.
When the restaurant first started in the 1990s, they had a very small parking with valet style. Now as the restaurant has grown, they have taken over the small stores next to it and have increased the size of their parking lot so that parking is no longer a hassle for customers.
If you want to eat at one of the finest steakhouses in all of New York, you must try Hapisgah restaurant.
