Happy 46th Birthday Mustang
46 years ago, Ford Motor Company introduced the Mustang car at the New York World's Fair. This sporty car has undergone many changes over the years but, has retained its sleek style and class. Currently there are 10 models available: half of them are convertibles. Personally, I like the original the best and, would imagine that many others also prefer it.
Since I'm from the Detroit area and have friends and family members who worked at Ford, I think it's only fitting to remember this anniversary with a poem, sung to the tune of Lennon/McCartney's "St. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band."
It was forty six years ago today
Detroit had a new car to display
They've changed some but have stayed in style
And they're guaranteed mile after mile
So now we pay tribute to you
The car you've loved for all these years
Ford Motor's Mustang car is so grand
It's Ford Motor's Mustang which is so grand
Ford hopes that you will enjoy the ride

It's waiting for you outside
Happy birthday Mustang
You were almost named Torino
As a race car you can really go
And you've won lots of awards
So once again we pay tribute to Ford
I think that Henry would have been proud
To see that you're still around
