Happy Birhday Earth

Poem About Earth Day

Akili Amina
Its your day!

We take the time

to acknowledge you, Earth

Our Global being

Who gives us so much

Much, a word not befitting

O! Mother Planet

Supplying precious air

Thunderous are your seas

Lands of Ice, now Iced Teas

Trees, we promise thee

Peaking in your madness

Coughing up smog or your toke

Beaching, the pretty landfill trinkets

Forest aren't for Rain! Who are We?

Overconsumption, Us the overly

Why, were we invited?

To your birthday party

All year long we don't care

Raging, your storms of anger

Rumbling, volcanoes of threat

Seething World, of dirty air

Un-plenty, for those who need drink

Festivities of quandary's, brink?

Upsetting, Mom or Mother Earth

Troubled beast, depart the forestry

Unhappily, extreme Unnaturally

Or, Abnormal is it now the Normally?

Sorry, for were such a pooper

Why its Your Day! Earth

So Have a Happy One

Never mind, these un-thoughtful words.
