Happy Birthday My Son

Cheri Majors, M.S.

A birthday poem for a very special young man!

Happy birthday my son,

Always remember you're my number one!

Now that you've become a teen,

And think that you can do anything . . .

Think again!

I trained you up right,

Within the Lord's sight!

And now you're a teen,

Who thinks he can do anything . . .

Please think again!

Even though you've grown taller than I,

You are still the apple of my eye!

Who's grown into a teen,

Who wants to try everything . . .

I'm really hoping you will think again!

A life of obedience,

Is filled with happiness and brilliance!

And now you're a teen,

Who thinks he knows everything . . .

I pray that you will think again!

A safer life I have found,

Is enjoyed with both feet on the ground!

But now you're a teen,

And mom's words don't mean anything . . .

So I beg you to think again!

Rewards for following God's 5th Command,

Are a long happy life, when honoring mom and dad!

And even though you're a teen,

Remembering all of God's teachings . . .

I am confident that you will always think again!

what a happy time and if that fails, use the old caution - "someday you will have kids and you'll see...." excellent writing: thanks for sharing :)

Aww happy birthday to your son. Great tribute and I have no doubt you've raised him right. Prayer is the only and best way to get through the teen years. :)

You've apparently trained up your child in the way he should go. Happy birthday to your son as he enters those interesting and challenging teen years. Take a deep breath--you'll be alright as you continue to lift him in prayer.
