Happy Easter One and All

Blackwood
See the children wake to find

Easter baskets filled and lined.

Toys and candy, eggs and baskets

tiny jewels in little caskets

Cream filled candies with bites taken

wrappings that have been forsaken.

Rushing to get dressed for church

All are on the "lost shoe" search.

Dressed up in their Sunday best

In heels and dresses, ties and vest.

On the road and on their way

At church all heads are bowed to pray.

The Gospel message is now told

To all of which are young and old.

Lord Jesus died for all our sins.

He was buried and rose again.

The joys of Easter every year

With memories we all hold dear.

Half eaten candy soon will be

A pile of colorful debris.

If old or young big or small

Happy Easter one and all.
