It's Father's day once more.
I'm glad you're still a'fore.
I stare at you amazed,
At how you still have grace.
A tot I was - agog.
With little things, like dogs.
You taught me how to care,
To be upright and fair.
When I was in my teens,
you preen smartly my jeans.
The boys respected you.
and, I myself have too.
Now that I'm a grown up.
You're still my star atop.
You'll always be my man.
Dad, I love you, I contend.

Post a CommentYes, it is still several days to go, but everyday should be father's day.
Any dad would have been proud to have a daughter who says "I love you" to him even only on Father's day. I'd say thank you if you were my daughter.
I would have said too early for father's day, but why wait? Everyday is a good opportunity to express our love for our father (and mother too)
nice poem ;)
