Happy Father's Day, Step Dad
You didn't hold that against me or my child
Instead you treated me like a Queen
And my baby, like a Princess
It was very easy to make you Our King
You didn't try to replace or scold
You just acted like yourself
And let life unfold
I can't thank you enough
For taking a chance on us
And our package deal
As the years go by
I sometimes think I could cry
With all the emotion
That I feel
You gave me love, and acceptance
And plenty of room to heal
You offered up patience and guidance
And sometimes nerves of steel
You are a very special man
To wed not just me but my crew
And for this Father's Day
I have this wish for you
I wish you peace, love, and joy
And eternal harmony too
And the Best Darn Father's Day
You ever had,
Because you deserve it too!
