Happy hour pedicures in Clinton Hill

I was looking to whet my whistle with a decent happy hour in Clinton Hill in Brooklyn the other day.

I'd been to Soda Bar and Tavern on Dean plenty of times and wanted to try something new, so I asked my buddy if he knew any low-key joints he'd recommend.

He suggested The Polish Bar of Brooklyn on Myrtle Avenue. Seeing as how we both have full-blooded Polish mothers, I figured heck, why not? I wouldn't mind drinking a little vodka with some of my countrymen (my great-grandparents were straight off the boat from Ustka).

So I got off the train and headed over to 470 Myrtle where The Polish Bar is located. I wasn't paying too much attention so when I got there I was surprised to see that it wasn't a bar, per se. As a matter of fact, they don't serve alcohol of any kind, with the exception of whatever is in nail polish.

That's right, that sandbagging son of a gun buddy of mine sent me to a beauty salon. I called him but couldn't get a word in over his incessant laughing. I was ticked off, but not after Tricialee and the staff hooked me up with a pedicure to die for!
