Happy Mother's Day

To All You Mother's at AC I Wish You the Best Day Possible

Mother's day is upon us again and it is a time to reflect on your own mother as I will my own. Unfortunately, my own mother died in 1995 at the age of 94, but she lived a good long productive life had six children and passed her many talents and idea on to her children. All her life she wanted to write a book and I have deeply regretted she never lived long enough to see me accomplish her goal.

She was an artist , a dancer, as well as a would-be write. She , drove a car at 14, learned to fly a airplane at the age of 15 and who traveled the world from the age of 16 until a few weeks before her death when she fell and broke her second hip. They had repaired the first one a year before and she kept on going like the energizer bunny. That was my Mom. However, sadly the second hip accident did her in, when she had to go to a nursing home and I really don't think they cared for her there as well as they could have. She was not here with me, but in North Carolina at the time or I would have checked on her two or three times a day, but it was not meant to be.

She was much loved for her tenderness to everyone she met, thoughtful and a wonderful sense of humor. I even wrote poem about her some time ago that is posted online that commemorated her sense of humor. (If you are interested you can view it on Associated content at)

No one had a better sense of humor than she did. Her sense of right and wrong she instilled on everyone around her as her children in particular, like was a true legacy to all her three children that lived to maturity.

At Christmas,(which was her birthday) and this time of year I especially yearn for her and miss her deeply. If your mother is still alive, you should feel blessed. Although mine is gone now, she will never be far from my heart, and I was truly blessed to have had her in my life.

Happy Mother's day to all the mother's here at AC and may God bless you everyone. Don't forget to call or go see your Mother if she is still alive, you never know how long you will have her.
