Happy Valley Charter School in Peoria AZ

Happy Valley School has about 750 children between kindergarten and sixth grade currently enrolled. They have just as much to offer as any public school and they are tuition free as well. One great benefit about this school is that they have all day kindergarten for free. This is a great advantage to most other charter and public schools in the valley that charge for all day kindergarten.

The school is nicely laid out with a great system for dropping and picking up the students. Very organized and safe policies in place to ensure children go home with the correct person. They stagger release times so there is less of a crowd and actually walk with students to parent pick up and ensure they are safely going home for the day. They do also have buses that run along certain routes to provide transportation for the students as well.

They have good strict rules in place involving behavior, tardy, and discipline. This ensures that the days run smoothly and that the students are safe. They do have a strict dress code however uniforms are not required.

This school does offer many activities including PE, computer, art, music and special weekly assemblies and monthly parties. They do also have field trips periodically throughout the year. Before and after school care is available for a fee.

This school has been performing well on test and passing all requirements by the state since they opened in 2000. They actually exceed the requirements on all testing by the state. The teachers are great and the school is kept in top-notch condition. They usually do have a waiting list to enroll especially for Kindergarten. I would suggest checking them out and signing up about 9-12 months in advance for the following year.
