I watched as you left; as you poured yourself out in to the street...
... as you took on the traits of 1989 in your gait...
The Vrooman girl also lost her step and did fall;
when 'coming of age' aligned with glasnost et al.
Which precipitated the conjuring of the magical cab,
in a land and a time long before the jihad...
And I can't say 'bye' to the waste of my youth; though through concept or consort the remains I did prove...
So instead, despite time and the turn of the screws,
my involvement with destiny I did so choose...
