The Harmon/Kardon Sound Sticks are easy to set up and are plug and play which means all you have to do is plug them in and they play. The sub woofer is 20 watts, and it has a blue light on it that lets you know if it is getting power. The two Sound Sticks connect to this sub woofer and can be hung or placed just about anywhere. They have a ring at the bottom of them for hanging.'
These speakers are very loud for their size and the sound quality is pretty good, The Harmon/Kardon Sound Sticks rival nearly any other similar sized system out there. They can be connected by USB or through a head phone jack, whatever the user prefers. The cords going to each speaker are long so you can place them just about anywhere you want in the room you are going to set up the sound system in. They are translucent, which means you can see through them and see all the little components inside of them.
There is some bad issues with these speakers and I will explain a few of them now. The first one being that you can't open the sound sticks to work on them if someone inside breaks. They seem to be tightly glued together. If you drop something like a coin inside the sub woofer, good luck getting it out. The sub woofer itself tends to not have the greatest quality and it doesn't seem to "hit right" on some songs with deeper base. There are definitely some issues that come around if you ever have to service your Harmon/Kardon Sound Sticks. It is especially annoying when these break and you can see them broken in the translucent casing, but can do nothing about it.
In conclusion the Harmon/Kardon Sound Sticks are a good option for your personal computer. They cost around $99 dollars. However, if they do break, it will be next to impossible to repair them, and you will probably have to buy new speakers. They are a good sound system with good quality, and I have enjoyed having them in my home the past two years or so.
