Books one to six have already been released and movies one to four have been made with movie number five "The order of the Pheonix" in production. Book number seven Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is set to be realeased between summer and fall of 2007.
We've already sadly seen our precious Dumbledor die in book number 6 which, has now left Harry to battle the notorious Lord Voldemort alone. One thing that was found by Dumbledore is that Voldemort has preserved different lives for himself in Horcurxs and so he is able to return after death because of these objects that have been used to hold different life forms of himself. One was the diary found by Ginny Weasley in the second of the Harry Potter book 'the Chamber of Secrets'. Harry is set to find the remaining horcurxs and is said to start his search in Godric's Hollow, as so we can expect in book #7.
Book six ended in quite a dark manor as we can well expect book number seven to start in much the same way and with the final conflict looming this just might be the darkest book in the series. However, most of us are hoping for a happy ending of sorts.
My personal predictions is that Harry will succeed and in the end good will triumph over evil however, there are many who think due to Rowling's unconventional style perhaps she would see fit to, kill off our most beloved and main character Harry.
I know that if in the end I were to see Harry parish I would feel cheated out as I would like to see him live to see victory over Voldemort.
We do know from Rowling's official site that at least two will die, we can expect more deaths in book seven so I do believe that perhaps Ron, Hermione or maybe even Ginny may meet their demise.
I could very well see Hagrid meet his death as Hagrid is Harry's only 'parental' figure left since Dumbledor's death. It would make some sense to see Harry have to make it completely on his own with no emotional support from any parental figure. There is also Ginny that we have seen was Harry's great love interest in book 6, although he doesn't want to continue the relationship for fear of Voldemort using her to get to him, she is a strong willed women and would probably follow Harry and this trio through all the turmoil that will be book 7.
I also believe that perhaps we haven't seen the last of Serious Black or Dumbledor as it is possible for them to come back as a 'sprit form' maybe not a real ghost but temporary to provide Harry some guidance during a crucial time.
Now, no one but Rowling knows for sure what's going to happen in book seven, with her unique writing and unpredictable twists anything is possible so like everyone else we'll have to wait until the release date to know for sure, but below is some official expectations and some debunked rumors that have been debunked by J.K. Rowling herself.
Rumors for book Seven that have been debunked so these are NOT going to happen in book seven, these are NOT true as has already been established by J.K Rowling. http://www.jkrowling.com
At the end of book seven, Harry and Voldemort will 'merge' to form a single persona who will command both forces of good and evil.
- Snape was hiding under the invisibility cloak the night the potter's died.
- Book seven will be called Harry Potter and the Graveyard of Memories.
- Aunt Patunia will start exibiting magical tendencies.
- Peter Pittigrew's silver hand will be used to kill Remus Lupin
- Book Seven will be called Harry Potter and the Pyramids of Furmat
- Mrs. Norris Is an unregistered animangus
- Harry is a Metamorphmangus
- Lupin will come back as a defense against the dark arts teacher.
- Luna Is snape's Daughter
- Dumbledor is really Ron/Harry from the future.
-Nicolas Flammel is going to come to Hogwarts to teach potions.
- Colin and Dennise Creevey will become the new Gryfindor Beaters
So as made perfectly clear on J.K Rowling's official website these rumors are UNTRUE! THEY WILL NOT HAPPEN!
Here is a timeline on what we CAN expect to see in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This is due to the things that have happened in every book and the events set out in book #6. www.the-leaky-cauldron.org
Harry will turn 17. He will now be allowed to do magic outside school, and obtain an Apparition license. Remember Dumbledor did tutor Harry privatly in Book 6.
They (Harry, Ron, Hermione) will now be in year 7 and their last year at Hogwarts, if the school will be opened.
Harry will go home to the Dursleys one last time. Remember he only has to until he is of age.
Harry plans on starting his Horcrux hunt in Godric's Hollow. Ron and Hermione will accompany him, but the trio will first attend Bill and Fleur's wedding.
Seventh-year students will take NEWTs, the most difficult of wizarding tests. Hermoione will be smiling about that one.
The last chapter will contain details of what will happen to survivors. The last word is still "scar" (but may easily change). This was said by Rowling herself on her site.
There will be no Quidditch. That we know in book 6 but all us Quidditch fans are hoping that there will be.
Harry and Ron will never read Hogwarts, A History. Never, Hermione. Ever!!!!!!!!
There will be the final, climactic fight between Harry and Voldemort. HARRY WILL WIN!!(just my opinion and wishful thinking.

Okay well....Luna does help Harry, Draco turns 'good', Harry does die but only for a few minutes, Voldemort dies later, either Fred or George die and the other has his ear cut off, Harry faces Voldemort alone, I'm fairly sure that Percy is a deatheater or works for the ministry, Tonks AND Lupin die (Which, really, had me sobbing for ages. You don't even really hear how he dies, he just does. And the maruaders are gone...Long live our memories!)....oh, and Harry and Ginny get married of course, having kids at some point. Teddy,(Tonks and Lupins son) is an orphan but you don't really hear much about him. Hermione and Ron get married and have kids as well.
Personally, I wish Harry had married someone better. I never liked Ginny. Too...flippy. Hell, what would have been cool is if he'd married Draco!
Sorry, a bit of fangirl coming through. And yes, I know that you all probably have read the book by now so know all this but I felt the need to post it for the few, unfortunate souls who nev
To the comment about snampe not being evil. I believe snape was forced to do what he did and did it, however twisted it seemed, "for the good".
To the comment of how it will end, I believe, in my opinion, the only way it can truly end, is if Harry AND Voldemort die...I'm just saying. there is such a strong following to this series and story that, if Hharry were to live, fans would "expect" Rowling to write another.
Oh my goodness, who do you think you are? What gives you the right to do a book review when you have the most terrible spelling I've ever seen! Don't you think it's embarrassing?
wrong, wrong, right, wrong, wrong.
I've read the book and you are all WRONG!!! (Exept the person that sed snape was not evil!)
i think HARRY POTTER WILL DIE. i THINK HE WILL HAVE TO COMMIT SUICIDE CAUSE HE'S THE LAST HORCRUX. WHEN THAT TIME COMES, HIS FRIENDS RON AND HERMONIE WILL B THERE TO FINISH VOLDEMORT OFF. EVEN THOUGH HARRY POTTER WILL DIE, THEY CAN KILL VOLDEMORT. RON AND HERMONIE WILL GO OUT. GINNY WILL B SAD CAUSE HARRY DIED. WHO KNOWS ROWLING MIGHT KILL OFF THE THREE HEROES. WE WILL NEVER KNOW UNTIL THE BOOK COMES OUT SATURDAY.
I think at the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows harry will cast a spell on a dementor that will destroy the horcuxe in him but not him. Then Voldemort will come mortal and harry will kill him. Then harry will seek vengence on snape by killing him.
Ginny Will NOT die!!!!!!!!!!
I think Mr. or Mrs. Weasly might die but not Fred,Gorge,Percy,Charlie,or Bill.
